Our Story

Shane is a pediatric stroke survivor and has cerebral palsy, and Pepper is his mobility service dog. In 2016, we started a fundraiser by creating natural soy candles raising funding for Shane’s mobility service dog through a non-profit called 4 Paws for Ability.

Why candles, you ask? When Shane was a baby/toddler, he loved to watch the glow from a candle as it brought calmness within him if he was having a bad day. Shane wants to offer the same feeling within your home when you light his candles.

In 2020, that is when Shane and Pepper Candle Company came to rise! Our soy candles are vegan friendly, bio-degradable, cruelty-free, non-toxic, and made with little hands and little paws. Shane not only wanted his candles to be natural but serve a purpose. Shane & Pepper Candle Company teamed up with a non-profit called 4 Paws for Ability in Xenia, Ohio. This organization helps children and veterans with a disability or a medical challenge to receive a service dog, just like Shane!

Our mission as a company is to educate the community about individuals who face the challenges of a disability and keeps moving forward. We will pledge $1.00 from each candle sold and donated to 4 Paws for Ability to help children and adults receive a service dog just like Pepper.
